"The prayer that brings peace"

Jesus teaches how to pray

When Jesus' disciples asked him how to pray, Jesus replied:

"You, then, pray in this way:

Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we have also forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. " Matthew 6: 9-13

According to the Royal Spanish Academy, “praying”, apart from asking and begging, is talking. Praying is speaking to God with words that spring from the depths of our hearts. A pained, hopeful heart, a heart with faith, a grateful heart, a heart that hopes only in Him, knowing that He will have the last word. God expects that prayer every day. He receives it with love, and delights in them.

"Do not be anxious about anything; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus". Philippians 4: 6-7
