Como papás y mamás no deberíamos nunca bajar los brazos en cuanto aconsejar, acompañar e instruir a nuestros hijos.
No digo que sea tarea fácil, ni que todas las veces sea bien recibido ya que dependiendo de la edad prefieren la opinión y consejos de amigos, que en definitiva tienen la misma edad, poca experiencia y quizás creencias ajenas a las de un hogar creyente donde se honra a Dios cumpliendo sus mandamientos y respetando los valores cristianos.
A pesar de ello, es importante seguir educándolos, apoyarlos, marcar su Norte y logros. Y siempre tener en cuenta tratarlos con cariño, amor y respeto, esperando el momento oportuno para hacerlo. Recordemos pedir al Espíritu Santo “paciencia y dominio propio” al tratar con ellos.
La instrucción y la guía que les demos basada en la palabra de Dios significará senda de luz en el presente y para el futuro. Evitemos ser complacientes aceptando cosas indebidas por temor a que se enojen o digan que estamos fuera de “época” o que no entendamos nada de las “modas actuales”.
Quizás dejen de hablarnos por un tiempo y se mantengan disgustados, pero que no sea razón o motivo para que abandonemos su formación. A la larga, la enseñanza y guía que le demos apoyada en la palabra de Dios será puerta abierta y sendero de luz y paz. Ellos, con el tiempo se convertirán en “sal y luz” para los que los rodeen y observan.

Proverbs 4:10-15
As parents, we should never lower our arms in terms of advising, accompanying and instructing our children.
I do not say that it is an easy task, or that every time is well received because depending on the age they prefer the opinion and advice of friends, who ultimately have the same age, little experience and perhaps beliefs other than those of a believing home where God is honored by keeping his commandments and respecting Christian values.
In spite of this, it is important to continue educating them, supporting them, marking their North and achievements. And always keep in mind treat them with love and respect, waiting for the right moment to do so. Remember to ask the Holy Spirit for "patience and self-control" in dealing with them.
The instruction and guidance that we give them based on the word of God will signify a path of light in the present and for the future. Avoid being complacent by accepting undue things for fear of getting angry or saying that we are out of "epoch" or that we do not understand any of the "current fashions".
Maybe they stop talking to us for a while and they remain disgusted, but that is not a reason for us to abandon their education. In the long term, the teaching and guidance that we give them based on the Word of God will be an open door and path of light and peace. They, in time, will become "salt and light" for those who surround and observe them.
